Culture, Biography & Lifelong Learning

The international research network which is about the cultural approach, biographical approach, narrative approach in education and learning will be launching its international peer reviewed journal called “culture, biography & lifelong learning (CBLL)” in 2014. The research network’s main purpose is to create the networking and interchanging of the European and American discourses in Asian background. The areas which will be discussed are Culture Education, Arts Education, Adult & Continuing Education, Lifelong Learning, Human Resource Development, Biography Research of Education, Narrative Research of Education, Informal Learning, Multi-cultural Education, Intercultural Education, and Health Education, Post Modern Education, Anthropology of Education, Cognition Research, and so on. This journal does not exclude statistics articles but targets more on theories & discourses, and qualitative researches & case studies.

Instructions for submitting Authors

 

Please thoroughly read the author guidelines. Note that not following the instructions and/or giving wrong citations in the submission preparation checklist will most likely lead to the rejection of a submission without further evaluation!

Submissions are accepted online only. The language CBLL is English. We accept American or British spelling and terminology, with one or other followed consistently throughout the manuscript.

 

Length of papers

Manuscripts should not exceed a maximum length of 10,000 words, excluding references.

 

Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word. Please do not submit PDF files.

The text should be used 10 point font and Times New Roman.

All illustrations, figures, and tables should be placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

Manuscripts should be formatted for printing on A4.

 

Abstract

Please provide an abstract of 150–200 words giving a brief, precise overview of the manuscript.

 

Keywords

Please provide a list of three to five keywords below the abstract. The keywords should express the content of the manuscript, as they are used for indexing purpose.

 

Sections

Number all sections and subsections as follows:

1.   A-Level Subhead

1)   B-Level Subhead

 

Figures

All figures should be numbered in one consecutive series of Arabic numerals.

 

Tables

All tables should be numbered in one consecutive series of Arabic numerals.

 

Quotations

Use double quotation marks for direct quotations and single quotation marks for quotes within quotes.

 

Citations and Reference List

We use the author-date system (also known as the Harvard system). Detailed instructions may be found in the Chicago Manual of Style (15th edition, sections 16.97–120 and 17). Please follow the pattern of the following examples:

Note that we have author first name written out in reference lists (rather than just the initial) and use headline case for all English titles of books, chapters of books, journals, and articles (other languages follow their own rules). If in doubt, please include more information rather than less.

Where available, URLs, URNs or DOIs for the references should be provided.

Up to three authors, use all names: (Deane, Armstrong, and Felson 2005)

More than three authors, use et al.: (Link et al. 2009)
